What is a computer
It is an electric device which can be used to carry out set of arithmetic and logical operations. A computer consists of at least one processing elements and some memory.
Data and informations
Data is a collection of items such as words, numbers, , etc . That are not organised. Data is processed into informations.
Information is data that is organised and has meaning and its .
Data base

Data integrity
Data integrity is the representation II faithfulness of informations.
Data security
Data security means protecting our data from an organised Axis so it is not miss used for lost.
Data validation
Validation is the process of comparing the data to a set of rules or values to determinanes. If the data is required data validation is the process of ensuring that a program operates and clean, correct and useful data.
There are various types of data validation-
(a) Alphabetic checks–
An alphabetic checks ensure that only alphabetic data isintered into a field.
(b) Numeric checks–
New numeric checks ensure that only numeric data is entered into a numeric fields.
(c) Copleteness checks–
A completeness checks verify that all required data is present.
(d) Range checks–
Arrange checks determine whether a number is within a specified or not.
(e) Consistency checks–
A consistency check the data entered into two or more fields to determine whether a relationship is correct or not.
Computer Hardware
The computer hardware are the parts of a computer including the central Processing Unit (C.P.U) keyboard. Monitors and drives other extra parts are called peripheral components are device include Mouse, printer, scanner , digital camera etc.
(A). Central Processing Unit (C.P.U.)
- Arithmetic and logical unit
- Memory unit
- Control unit
These are as –
1. Arithmetic and logical unit
2.Memory Unit
3. Control unit
(B). Keyboard
(C). Monitor
It can be following of many types.
- CRT – CATHODE RAY TUBE
- TFT – THIN FILM TRANSISTORS
- L.C.D. – LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAYS
- L.E.D. – LIGHT EMITTING DIODES
(D). Mouse
(E). Scanner
Scanner allow you to transfer picture and photograph to your computer. Scanner scan the images from the top to bottom of the image one line at a time.
There are three types of scanner which are as-
(F). Printer
The printer takes the information from your screen and transfer it to paper. It means creates the hard copy of any information.
There are two types of printer
- Impact Printer
- Non Impact Printer
These are as defined
- Impact Printer
In these printer there is a mechanical contact between the printer head and paper.
For example- Dot matrix printer
2. Non Impact Printer
In this printer there is no any contact between the printer head and paper.
For example- Laser jet printer & Ink jet printer.
